Even though most everywhere had canceled events and parades and whatnot… thanks to the COVID virus… we made the most of this past weekend! We soaked up the sun poolside, grilled up some yummy BBQ, lit off some fireworks and Mason loved his first sparkler experience! Even though we couldnโt be with family and friends we still managed to make it special!๐ฅ
Little M and I had so much fun decorating heart shaped, star spangled banner Fourth of July sugar cookies yesterday! Iโm seriously taking in all these special little moments with my first born before baby number 2 arrives! โค๏ธ๐ค๐

Recently, I have had a few people ask me, โso are you going to try for a girl nextโ… this question makes me uncomfortable but I know it comes from a good place. Honestly what people donโt know and understand is that I did have gender disappointment at the beginning. Over time I learned to fall completely in love with this little guy. Loved hearing hearing his little heartbeat for the first time, feeling the dancing he does, the hiccups he has at times and how he respond to my voice by giving me little kicks is a beautiful and indescribable bond I am forever fortunate to have.

I feel beyond blessed and excited to be having another boy who is going to best friends with his older brother, Mason and loved beyond measure! Only 7 weeks to go until we meet our baby boy! ๐ค
This past weekend I broke out of the house to head to my favorite store @target ๐ฏ No joke it feels like years since I have shopped at a physical store… this is so much more satisfying then online shopping.
My hubby watched our little guy while mama got some much needed retail therapy in! Oh Target I have missed you! ๐ค
Where is the first place you are going to when you get the chance?
To be a mother of a son is one of the most important things you can do to change the world. Raise them to respect women, raise them to stand up for others, raise them to be kind. Raising my little gentleman is no easy task but I wouldnโt change anything for the world. My little boy made me a mommy and forever changed my world. Feeling eternally blessed to be a mom and to be growing another little human.
What I have learned along the way is that being a mother is learning about the ๐ฆ๐ง๐ฅ๐๐ก๐๐ง๐๐ฆ you didnโt know you had, and dealing with ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ you didnโt know existed! Motherhood is an incredible experience and journey, pulling out all the emotions and feelings in me I never even knew existed prior to having children!
I am a bit emotional today as this will be the very last Motherโs Day with my first born, the little one who made me a mom. Itโs a bitter sweet feeling knowing that in just a few short months I will no longer have my first born all to my self! Iโm completely soaking in all these precious moments with him as much as possible before my other little love makes his debut in a few short months!

I felt the Easter spirit hit me a little this morning. Despite it feeling difficult to get into the spirit in general with a global pandemic, being pregnant and having a two year old son I felt like satisfying my pregnancy cravings and getting creative with breakfast this morning!
I made these with Birch Benders Paleo pancake mix! These are a staple in our household. All I did was add a few punches of powdered cinnamon, a dash of vanilla extract and an almond milk & water mixture. You mix it all up with the Birch Benders Paleo pancake mix and it will certainly not disappoint! I add slices of banana once you pour it into the pan but you can add anything into this chocolate pieces, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, etc.. the possibilities are endless!
These were a huge hit and your kids are surely going to love them! Give them a try and let me know how it works out!
